Evaluation of demographic and rare clinical characteristics of patients with thoracic carcinoid tumor in Razi and Aria Hospitals of Rasht during 2006-2019

Introduction: Carcinoid tumors are malignant neoplasms of low-malignant neuroendocrine cells. This study tended to evaluate the demographic and rare clinical characteristics patients with thoracic carcinoid tumor during 2006-2016 at Razi Aria Hospitals in Rasht. Materials Methods: The present was performed on records 43 lung referred Rasht 2006-2019. Information age, gender, symptoms, smoking history, diagnosis tools, treatment outcome were analyzed. Results: Of treated definitive pathology, 31 had typic 12 atypic carcinoma (mean age 43.14±15.16 years). most common symptom cough hemoptysis. Two cases presented Cushing’s syndrome. diagnostic method this simultaneous use both CT scan bronchoscopy. In 95.3% cases, manifested as pulmonary 4.7% it extrapulmonary.
